Licensing, Credentials & Professional Standards

Excel Community Management operates in accordance with applicable Colorado laws and industry standards for community association management. Our team is committed to ongoing education and professional development to better serve our communities.

Where applicable, team members may hold industry-recognized designations such as:

  • Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®)
  • Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®)

We follow recognized industry best practices and uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all services we provide.

Financial Management & Safeguards

We handle association funds with a strong commitment to fiduciary responsibility and transparency:

  • All association funds are maintained in separate accounts in the name of the association and are never commingled with company operating funds
  • Secure accounting systems are used, with regular reconciliations and monthly financial reporting provided to boards
  • Internal controls include approval processes, separation of duties, and oversight procedures to reduce risk
  • We recommend reserve studies, audits/reviews (as directed by the board), and appropriate insurance coverage such as fidelity bonds
  • Financial practices are conducted in accordance with governing documents and applicable laws

Vendor Relationships & Industry Practices

In the community management industry, vendors may engage in standard business development practices such as:

  • Meetings, site visits, or service presentations
  • Providing informational materials or small promotional items
  • Invitations to industry events, educational sessions, or networking opportunities

These practices are common across professional service industries and allow management teams to stay informed on available vendors, pricing, and best practices.

Our Commitment to Ethics & Objectivity

Excel Community Management maintains strict standards to ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the communities we serve:

  • Vendor recommendations are based solely on qualifications, performance, pricing, and community needs
  • Competitive bidding and multiple options are considered whenever appropriate
  • Any potential conflicts of interest are handled transparently
  • Boards retain full authority and final approval over vendor selection

Vendor Coordination Disclosure

We coordinate vendors on behalf of associations; however:

  • Vendors are independent third-party providers
  • Excel Community Management does not guarantee vendor performance
  • Contracts are typically executed in the name of the association
  • Final decisions regarding vendor selection remain with the Board of Directors

Banking & Financial Relationships

Excel Community Management may establish relationships with financial institutions to support banking, payment processing, and financial management services for the associations we serve.

These relationships may include services such as:

  • Account setup and administration
  • Payment processing systems
  • Financial software integrations
  • Operational support for financial transactions

Any such relationships are structured to support efficient operations and do not impact our fiduciary responsibility to the associations we manage.

Third-Party Platforms & Referrals

We may utilize third-party tools, software, or vendor networks to support community operations and provide access to service providers.

  • Use of any platform or vendor resource is optional
  • We may present multiple vendor options from various sources
  • Boards maintain full discretion in selecting vendors
  • Any affiliations or partnerships are disclosed transparently when applicable

Our recommendations remain based solely on the best interests of the association.

Ownership & Affiliation Disclosure

From time to time, Excel Community Management or its leadership may have relationships or affiliations with service providers, technology platforms, or industry partners.

Any such relationships will be disclosed as appropriate. All decisions involving vendors or services are made based on the needs of the association and in alignment with fiduciary responsibilities.
